21 kW load bank
Rentaload offers rental of 21 kW air-cooled load banks, designed to operate on three-phase 400 V electrical infrastructure.
This is an intermediate solution between rack-mountable load banks and high-powered 100/200/300 kW Low Delta T load banks. It is the perfect solution when racks are not yet installed but accurate thermal load distribution must still be validated in the data centre white space.
The new Smart AC generation has been specifically developed to better match the airflow demand of CRAH units and to respond to real operating conditions where air cooling systems are driven by both pressure difference and temperature variation.
Its ability to closely match the servers' Delta T capability (10–40 K) is a key advantage, allowing realistic simulation of IT load during data centre commissioning and cooling validation tests.
In addition, this equipment is designed for ease of handling (small wheels, side handles, lightweight structure). It can easily pass through doors, stairs or ramps, making it ideal for live site environments.

Our Rentalab connected solution
This software allows you to control the entire fleet of connected load banks deployed on site, via a single computer. You can control up to 200 load banks at the same time. You can also collect extremely accurate data such as P/U/I/DELTA T, during testing.
Rentalab is also:
- Programming of tests up to 72 hours (according to different scenarios);
- Real-time plotting of supervision curves;
- Recovery of thermal and electrical information from your tests;
- Edition of test reports.
The EkkoSense temperature sensor solution
This software allows you to model your computer room in 3D. You can therefore navigate in your room, while collecting thermal data thanks to various wireless temperature sensors positioned in the IT room.
The deployment of this solution includes:
- Temperature and humidity sensors;
- An EkkoHub;
- A 3G connection panel;
- And all the associated connections, configuration and modeling.

The temporary containment solution for the 21 kW unit heater load bank

Rentaload offers a temporary containment solution for data centres that do not yet have computer bays. This solution allows you to simulate hot/cold corridors and test the rooms as closely as possible to their subsequent configuration once urbanised.
This gives you the opportunity to test electrical infrastructure and air conditioning systems in parallel.

Connection systems for the 21 kW air-cooled load bank
Rentaload adapts to the electrical configuration of each room to be tested. This may involve deploying temporary electrical distribution cabinets to ensure safe and efficient connection of load banks during data centre commissioning and infrastructure testing.
The 210 kW temporary electrical distribution cabinet allows the connection of up to:
- 10 × 21 kW – 32 A / 400 V load banks
(or up to 30 rackable 220 V / 32 A load banks)
Connected at the input by 120 mm² cables equipped with Powerlocks, the cabinet can be powered directly from the main electrical panel of the data centre room. Mounted on a metal frame with wheels, it can easily be moved from one room to another, providing flexibility during commissioning phases.
Regarding 21 kW load bank cables, Rentaload offers:
- P17 32A TRI / P17 32A TRI (tri-tri) cables
