200kW Liquid+Air charge bank
In data center testing, one of the most critical functions is the ability to accurately emulate real-world server rack conditions. This is where a load bank capable of simulating Direct to Chip (D2C) server racks with combined liquid + air cooling comes into play.
This intelligent load bank is designed to reproduce the thermal and electrical characteristics of high-density server racks (>30kW) , providing data center operators and engineers with valuable information on the behavior of cooling and safety systems prior to commissioning.
With the aim of perfectly emulating D2C server racks, Rentaload has designed a new fleet of 200kW (140kW Liquid + 60kW Air) intelligent charge banks for rental.
The Mixy 200 intelligent load bank (140kW Liquid + 60kW Air) is used to test the resilience of electrical and thermal infrastructures in cleanrooms. This load bank has been designed for testing hyperscale and collos data centers, usingDirect Liquid Cooling technology.
This rack-sized load bank, combining liquid and air cooling, is perfect for emulating a rack full of Direct to Chip cooled servers. This hybridization also reduces the number of loadbanks required, since it combines liquid and air cooling tests in a single bench.
Benefits and features of the 200 kW Liquid+Air charge bank

🗸 Realistic thermal load simulation – The load bank can generate thermal loads that mimic the thermal output of real server racks. This is crucial for testing the cooling capacity and efficiency of data center cooling systems. By combining both liquid and air cooling, the load bank can simulate the complex thermal dynamics of modern server racks, which often use hybrid cooling solutions.
🗸 Electrical load emulation – In addition to thermal load, the load bank can simulate the electrical load of server racks. This includes the different power consumption patterns that are typical of data center environments. This functionality is essential for testing power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) and other electrical infrastructure components.
🗸 Direct to Chip (D2C) Cooling – The load bank is equipped to emulate direct-to-chip cooling, a method where coolant is delivered directly to heat-generating components (such as GPUs) within servers. This allows precise control of thermal load distribution, enabling more accurate simulation of high-density computing environments (HPC – High Performance Computing).
🗸 Combined Liquid+Air cooling – The ability to use both liquid and air cooling in a single load bank offers a complete test solution, in a single piece of equipment. This is an undeniable advantage for optimizing the fleet of benches on site, the amount of handling, test reliability and test relevance.
Next-generation data centers use a mix of cooling technologies to optimize energy and cooling efficiency. This hybrid load bank can simulate various load scenarios and distribution between the two cooling channels, helping data center operators to fine-tune their cooling strategies and ensure reliable operation under different conditions.

You can also collect extremely precise data such as U, I, P, Liquid ΔT, Liquid ΔP, during tests.
Supervision also means :
- Programming of tests up to 72 hours (according to different scenarios);
- Real-time plotting of supervision curves;
- Recovery of thermal and electrical information from your tests;
- Edition of test reports.
Choosing to supervise your fleet of Rentaload benches means above all..:
- Save 20% of your testing time (up to 20% according to customer feedback);
- Bring real added value to your tests. The data collected during testing provides a true “vital map” of the datacenter.
- Differentiate yourself from your competitors by enhancing this test phase and providing valuable data for the future management of the datacenter.
