Rentaload and CliAtec 360º Data Center have signed a collaboration agreement for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. With this alliance, CliAtec becomes the strategic partner in Spain of our company, leader in the rental of intelligent load banks. Rentaload, which is present in several important large-scale data center projects in Spain, entrusts CliAtec with the delivery, installation and connection as well as assistance with testing and complete commissioning of equipment for innovative data center projects .

Madrid, July 14, 2021 – With the rapid growth of digitalization due to the pandemic, data centers have had to adapt their infrastructures to the new connectivity demand situation.

On the one hand, they had to adapt their facilities and, on the other hand, they had to face stress tests never seen before, due to the traffic spike and increased data processing.

Load banks and commissioning

In this scenario, the commissioning phase and the load banks are of particular importance. It is in this start-up phase that the stress tests are carried out and the actual load they need is checked. And for this, load banks are essential for different reasons:

– Load banks simulate the thermal load of IT equipment before installation.

– They subject data centers to different stress scenarios, both in terms of electrical power and thermal load.

– They make it possible to validate and verify that the air conditioning and electrical safety infrastructures of a data center have been installed in accordance with the requirements of the project.

In the commissioning protocols, these tests are carried out during phases 4 and 5, during which the electrical systems and the air conditioning systems are subjected to a stress test at full load in order to detect possible failures or loads. inappropriate.
